There is a lot of information about what to take for everything from cancer to the common cold.
What I'm going to do differently is cross reference herbal treatments with over the counter and prescription drugs so that you don't have to take an either/or approach to getting well and staying well.
Especially with over the counter remedies always tell you doctor what you are taking. Don't let the words "all natural" lull you into thinking a thing is safe. After all arsenic is all natural.
A less obvious one is apirin (salycin), formerly derived from willow bark, prepared as a tea. Neither can be taken with blood thinners.
Instead, for fever you should take acetominefen (aka Tylenol) or
ginger root, prepared from the root, not ginger ale-
feverfew aka chrysanthemums (wild)- prepered from the flowers
for headaches takes capsicum-that's hot peppers for those of you who like them.
Native Americans prepared them as a tea, but you can cook them in foods or get the already prepared capsules in any pharmacy
I grow herbs, but I haven't noticed any less effectiveness in buying pills from the pharmacy for any herbs I take.
